Our mission is to develop a flying platform with a robust gripping solution.
To achieve this, we will combine soft gripping technology with sophisticated control algorithms to
create a drone that can be used for just about anything.
The incredible flexibility of a drone is a natural match for soft gripping technology. Paired with intelligent algorithms, this newfound ability to grasp objects and interact with the environment will open the door for countless applications.
We are targeting a payload of 250 grams, which allows us to grasp us highly sensible objects that a normal robotic gripper would crush with its arms. In the future, we are looking to expand the gripper to enable gripping of higher weight payloads.

Soft robotics is a subfield of robotics that is focussed on making robots from soft materials. These robots often have remarkable properties - artificial grippers made from soft materials have shown to be extraordinary at grasping a wide variety of materials, from fragile eggs to plastic bottles filled with water.
This makes a soft gripper the perfect tool to combine with a drone to achieve universal grasping that is not limited to certain geometries or materials.
Whether inside a warehouse or outside in the open, the possible applications for Raptor are countless. But what almost all of them share - they will increase efficiency, alleviate potentially dangerous workloads from humans and stretch the bounds of what is possible with robots.
